I don't know, maybe JJ IS his nubian princess. I can't think of anything else.

Don't worry, Pouncey will be starting as our center.

Is this confirmed?

If so, Miles is probably the stupidest SEC coach I've seen in the past ten years. Whose dumber?

hold on for another frustrating and bumpy ride. LM fricked the goose by not easing JL in sooner this season , now the meat of the schedule is upon him and he is praying that this 2 QB system can somehow save his arse.

Jefferson will start, we won't be doing well, so Les will not be able to find a "spot" to put Lee into the game. Outside of last week, in a game that he really felt strongly that he could win with whomever at QB

so we just put Lee in the toughest spot possible to mount a comeback in the swamp...

interesting strategy cotton lets see how it works for him

Miles knows that if he benches Jefferson, then Jefferson will take his ball and go home, leaving us with one scholarship QB with experience for 2011 (Lee) and walkons and true freshmen behind him.

Jefferson shouldnt have that kind of influence and we should have never been put in that spot to begin with

give him a series to fail and he'll be forced to play Lee.

it's not who starts, it's who plays the most.

I was raising a fuss a few weeks ago in hopes of preventing this exact scenario. Sunshine Pumpers scoffed, saying we were 3-0, then 4-0.

we're not in a good place due to Miles denial that theres a problem.

1. Open up running with JJ??? How are you going to open up running the ball with a QB who can't throw.

2. JL WILL probably get 55-60% of the snaps. But why play with no offense for 40-45% of the game?

1. I'm talking about running Ridley, Shep, etc. JJ ain't even close to being Michael Vick or somebody like that, but teams do have to account for him possibly running. I didn't say that we'd actually run him. He does run those shotgun read plays well and it was responsible for one of our scoring drives this week. It's just a safe way to open a game and feel things out. But look, knowing our coaches they'll come out and throw three bombs to Chase Clement.

2. I didn't say that I would play JJ that much at all. I'd go with JL and just see how he does and keep him in if he's okay. If he's far from okay, then sub him. By the way, I'd go with JL because I like his attitude more right now considering he looked okay against Tenn. JJ's attitude has not come off very well recently. And his passing has been bad. But JJ-led drives were responsible for our only 10 points going into that last drive. It took us until the clock read 00:00 before we scored on a JL-lead drive. I know he wasn't in there for the scoring play - but let's face it - it was his drive and he threw some great passes. He might have had another scoring drive on the 2nd to last drive, but he threw the pick (but that was a bad call to me). The bottom line is that the stats don't mean anything to me - the points do.

FWIW, I don't care who hands the ball off. As long as most of the passing plays start with Jarrett Lee.

OK, but wouldn't it be easier to run the ball with Lee in the game. When JJ is in there they know we have to run it.

but with JJ in you have NO fear of pass to use to open up the running game

Duh, we run the option for 2 yards on the first 3 plays. That'll open up the run game way better than a functional passing game.
