If he doesn't want to be a Tiger, then he's Tiger-Bait!!!

Dude, that is the Reveille you're linking.

But, honestly, if JLee starts and plays well, his opinion could change. ALso changes if Mett comes and we hire a new OC.

Yes - but read the quotes from Landry. Unless they fabricated his comments, there is cause for some concern.

no reason to doubt that those are his quotes, though. very plausible that a receiver would cast doubts on a pos offense.

Not fabricated, I just think it's funny the Reveille is jumping on the hate of LSU offense.

I always laugh at the these people who suggest negativity of rantards or tigerbaiters hurt recruiting and not the facts that #1 LM embarrasing coaching genious was on display for all to see yet again. The fact that this guy is a punch line on every major national sporting media outlet whether it be tv, internet, or print. Recruits dont watch espn

I can't really blame the guy. I would be having second thoughts also. IF crowton leaves and we get a decent QB comming in, plus J lee putting up halfway decent numbers the rest of the season I think all is well.

Most of these kids don't care what ESPN and other national media are saying, but they do care what local fans are saying and what they believe is going on with the program. If local fans are being negative toward the program we're in trouble with in state recruits.

Fail...Fail hard...These kids want the ball. They want to make it to the NFL. When they see LSU's starting QB going FOUR straight games under 100 yards passing and 18 quarters without a passing touchdown, of course they have doubts. Wouldn't you as a receiver?

"That's a very big point. ... There's a good chance that a guy like Mettenberger would be in the same class as you," Dixon said. "From the little conversation I've had, [the in-state commitments are] hoping they finish the class out with some big-name quarterback."

We need to take a bus of hot LSU co-eds to Mettenberger's dorm room and let him run a train on them or something!

Sure the kids want the ball, all of them were stars in highschool, college is a whole different animal. I promise you they would much rather have support from family and friends for the place they have choosen.

Getting the ball and making the NFL they all want, but maturity teaches you you don't always get what you want. Fail hell, its much more important to have support when things are going bad, than wishing you were getting the ball in a game. Thats why this team is circling the wagons and supporting each other.

Which is a sad situation, makes our fans look pretty bad in that light!!

I can see you have a "want" to get Mettenberger.

As do I.

Together they both will ultimately bring down recruiting...which is the one thing we have going for us. Les is burning the house down and our negative fans are pouring gas on the fire.

That's the truth.

bullshite! And I don't post much on the recruiting board, but come on. Really?

These kids all have aspirations of making it to the NFL and getting PAID. For the vast majority, college is just a defacto minor league system and they are going to attend the university that they feel provides the best chance to get to the NFL.

How do you think a school like UNC, with very little football tradition was able to recruit so many good players over the last few years? Answer: Butch Davis had ties to the NFL and was responsible for the NFL caliber talent at Miami in late 90's early 2000's. Alabama was floundering in the early to mid 2000's until a guy with a proven record of sending players to the NFL came in.

So Mettenberger becomes just a little more important.
