yesterday was a prime example of why so many of us were so pissed that Jarrett didn't receive meaningful snaps in the Vandy game.... what you saw yesterday was rust, that could have been worked out sooner, so maybe that INT in the endzone doesn't happen if he has more experience earlier in the year....

but alas, Miles' head was firmly up his arse, so he couldn't see it....

There will be some morons on here who argue with you but this is the ONLY logical thing that should have been done. It was clear to most after the second game of the season that JJ would not get it done.

Lee is NOT really bad.

We'll only be able to imagine how good he could of been had he received proper coaching (i.e. been developed by Jimbo).

He has a few flaws but has tons of ability. And he has heart, leadership, determination, and class.

After driving us down field to win the game and getting PULLED by our village idiot, he high fived JJ and didn't pout. Our other QB would have been pouting on the sidelines.

Lee is obviously the better option for the LSU offense. When Lee was in the game, the offense looked more "alive". The only thing that scares me about lee is that when a defensive guy is near him, he just closes his eyes and chunks the ball. It might have been rust but that is what scares me escpecially when we play florida and bama

Just Rantards being Rantards. You could tell when he was a freshman that he was good enough to compete for titles in the SEC with more experience, better coaching, and a better defense.

If Lee didn't cut it then I just don't see what we expect from a starting QB. The kid hasn't played in a couple of years and will make a few mistakes. But he isn't inept - he showed us that. A slightly improved Lee = what LSU needs.

exactly... i keep hearing "they are both in year 3" and similar lines, but realistically, in terms of game experience, Jefferson has much, much more than Lee, without much, much more improvement....

if the table was 180 degrees, i'd bet my house that Lee would be a pretty decent QB.... all-SEC, probably not, but good enough for us to rely on to move us down the field consistently enough to put points on the board when we need it...

JJ was a sure project.

He was not supposed to be ready until this year.

Surprisingly he is regressing at this stage of the season compared to last year.

Lee is not "really bad" .. are you kidding me? he engineered a game winning drive and made some clutch throws down the field. For his first meaningful action, it was impressive.

He should be our QB moving forward.

Lee - 185 yards passing
JJ - 30 yards passing

That says it all.
That doesn't say it all.

Jefferson had 100 yards rushing. That says a lot.

Jefferson also led the first two scoring drives. That says a lot.

Back foot lobs to nowhere, the pick, the other near pick that resulted in a grounding penalty. He can throw but he is as bad at decision making as Jefferson. And I don't fault Lee or Jefferson. I fault their head coach who has failed to develop either, puts them in bad situations and can't manage a football game.

Let's stop arguing over which 21 year old kid should throw the ball and about how fricking incompetent the head coach of our football team is.

He had a lucky run so that is 87, completed 3 passes and threw 2 interceptions. I expected this from you but you are losing credibility if you ever had any. I'm not saying Lee is great but clearly he played better yesterday.

lee's far from perfect, but the best option for us right now. opens up the passing game, but we will have to live with the fact that he throws ints. need to coach the offense to tackle better than 2 years ago.

one play does not make you a good QB. Shepard could have done the same thing.

If JJ is the answer, it is a dumb question.

Jefferson:

10 passes
3 completions
2 interceptions

Can't win with that ratio.

This makes sense. We don't know if Lee has gotten better, but it seems likely. Mr. Jefferson is stuck in reverse so far as his QB play is concerned...stuck in reverse.

Do you know what the difference between the word "is" and "was" is?
"Is" = body of work and skill package. He's bad.
"Was" = last night. He was far superior to JJ but then so is every QB in America. JJ's stats are so bad that the NCAA website doesn't even go that low on their listings.

Would you ask Lee or JJ to play if you had to drive the ball down 70 yards in 5 mins. This is a typical scenario in tough SEC games.

I would ask Miles to leave the sideline and bring in a competent coach. The problem with this team is not the QB. It starts at the top - Fire Les Miles.
