He's just appeasing the people that ask that question. If he says no, then he has to explain why not. If he says yes, he gets to spend the smallest amount of time on the topic, move on, finish the interview and get back to what's important.

This is crap. Miles was asked why RS hasn't been running Wildcat and he stated that it was because there was no threat to throw the ball so it would be ineffective to run it. Teams would just crowd the box. Now, Peterson, who has no track record for throwing the ball, is being considered for wildcat. Our problems on offense aren't because of a lack of skill. RS and Randle could easily handle wildcat packages. We just have a want to run a shitty offense without any creativity. Could you imagine the questions and jeering Miles would take if he actually let RS throw a touchdown pass from teh wildcat? Boobirds would have a field day.

LSU's version of the wildcat = No passing, but we want a "threat" of passing there just for the sake of it.

no im really agreeing.

we use the "wild tiger" but have NEVER passed out of it, not even with the #1 dual threat QB coming out of high school as the QB.

just doesn't make any sense at all.

frick I hate les-speak.

Yes, RS was. That is what made Miles comments, well, Milesesque. He can do it. He should do it, but why isn't he doing it. I really think Miles is just that scared of a quarterback controversy.

Why wouldn't we play Shephard at QB? He can't throw downfield, but we don't call any downfield passes. He is a viable option QB. Heck stick RS, PP and Ridley back there. Run the ball all over the Vols

Why can't we use Shepard the same way Michigan uses Dennard Robinson?

Because it will look like Georgia Tech, and not in a good way.

I think they believe its still gimic, and a strong ground game is a more secure/traditional.

I don't know who or what to agree with anymore... but the stretch of games from here on is about to get serious and Offens will need more production to win games.
