Our Offense is more than capable...

I just don't know what is the problem with our Offense. After watching this video, it is even more perplexing what the REAL issue is.

I think the word "HYPE" is applicable

I think Lesticles needs to get his fire back.

a lot of small issues that, hopefully, can be worked out. drives are killed by different things; penalties, dropped passes, poor passes, missed blocks, etc. add these to the fact that the opposing D's make some good plays at times, you have inconsistent offense. if LSU can cut down of our mistakes and make the D stop us, i think we're gonna be much improved. hell, our upperclassmen are making as many mistakes, if not more, than our rookies. i see us turning the corner this year and being better on offense; how good? we'll see.

No it's not.

I think the problem is no consistency
They have plenty of big play ability and have made some here and there...but they can't sustain drives because we can't convert 3rd downs.

les and GC don't have a lot of confidence in JJ's passing and for what whatever reason don't want to put lee in the game. They are stuck with hoping the running game continues to work. This has become a grind it out offense, with some very good defense behind it, not real flashy but it works

I hope the offense watches this. They can get their shiet together.

I'm hoping D. Peterson will help as a safety valve to keep a few drives alive. If we eliminate the drive killing penalties, dropped balls, and just get a few extra third down conversions, this team will be dangerous.

Lack of identity is a problem.
Not sure the coaches know what they want this offense to be: i-formation power running, spread read-option, true option, etc.
I think they have, at times, tried to do too much with too many players.

His UNC play was good. Vandy sucked.
His MSU play was good. WV sucked.
The o-line has to avoid penalties and pass block better.
The receivers have to catch the ball.
Lee has to see the field.
LSU had better start getting into the position to call the full offensive playbook. When LSU lines up with the best, LSU will have to throw it and run it, and LSU has to be prepared to do that.
The offense needs to come of age.

quote:Not that hard to see that the leader on Offense has lost his confidence. What i seen in that video was a much more confident player. Leaders dont bitch and make faces at their receivers, because they drop a pass the one time its thrown right. Although i think the should be caught, its not how you handle that on national tv

Thanks for giving me hope.

In my opinion, some of the reason we aren't performing as well on offense is due to the large degree of "READS" that are required, by not only the QB, but the receivers and backs.
I've seen many mistakes by receivers and backs missing reads. there have been some huge holes missed by the backs so far that would have resulted in big plays. There have also been some misreads on the option and read option plays but Jefferson did a much better job last week on that.
I think the inordinate amount of fumbles in the first couple of games severely hurt our scoring. several of them killed good drives that would ahve resulted in scores.
Last week it was penalties. We just need solid execution and reads thoughout the game and attention to detail.
the talent is there.

The biggest problem with the offense is coaching&the qb position. Some times it looks like they don't even know how to line up,& then will run the option to the short side of the field. I am sure every top program in the SEC hopes we keep our current coaching staff.

The sad thing about our WRs dropping passes is that they are used to bad throws by JJ (behind them, over their head, and in the ground),and then they drop a good pass.
