Scheduled cheats are beneficial.

I will never 100% agree with this statement.

annnnnd welcome back 260's
just looking back at my weight log and I was 261.8 3 weeks ago...this is they kind of stuff that really gets to me. I've done nothing but bounce up and down for 3 weeks, getting as high as 265.5 and as low as saturday at 259.8. I'm going to the gym, I'm eating what I'm supposed to, I'm drinking water like a fish (at least over the last week). I'm getting an extra serving of protein on my workout day. I'm doing everything right, and weight isn't coming off. frick Today, that is all.

Number isn't as important as the look.....
When I first started I stayed between 240-250 for over a month but people kept comments I looked like I lost weight. I kept with it and it started to come off

I've had this discussion already in this thread and don't care to rehash it.

Oh.... I dunno if I was a part of it.... But both Hulk and I have been there as we were both rather big and like I said, I stayed in the 240-250 range for awhile and got discouraged as well.

I think this weight is where I got stuck 4-5 years ago when I dropped some weight. My body is starting to fight back because it's so used to this size. First post was really just venting, and I'll keep doing what I'm doing because eventually I know it will move again. This is the hard part of weight loss, if everything was as easy as the first 50 pounds then a lot more people would probably be skinnier.
I can deal with this, and it's nice to have you guys that have been through it to bitch to and realize that what I'm going through is normal.

I had to change my routine and add more cardio to what I was doing. I kept lifting and what not but went from longer weight lifting sessions to shorter more intense and running after I lifted weights

the gym is me changing my routine. The first 50 pounds came off from nothing but a diet change. I went to the gym maybe 2 months ago for a couple of weeks and my weight stalled. I stopped, the weight loss resumed. I called the nutrisystem counselor people and said wtf, and they said add protein, so now I'm back in the gym with hopes that the extra protein will make me not stall. Been back in the gym for 2 weeks.
I wouldn't say that I've really stalled out at the moment, just dealing with the daily weight fluctuations, and they're pissing me off. I'm determined to stay with the gym, because I do know that it will help me in the long run.

sometimes the fingers type what they want to type.
I read something a long time ago that basically said that your body gets used to being a certain size and that as you dip below that size it thinks something is wrong and tries to compensate. Thinking about my last time of losing weight made that pop in to my mind, so I went with it.

I wonder if you have maybe cut at to large of a calorie deficit? Sometimes taking a week off and eating at maitennance calories can help kickstart the weight loss again.

I've bounce between 250 and 270 like a mofo for the last year. I'm determined to get back to 250 before Christmas again and then down to 220. I think I'm gonna be pretty satisfied at 220, I just have to will my way down.

You have made great progress!! You have got this!

I went ahead and pre-planned out the rest of my food for today. Now, I don't know the caloric information for the cheese and ranch dressing that I get on my salad at lunch because it's in the cafeteria. So I just used the information I have from the same items at home...so while there will be a little variance there, it won't be too much.
My calorie count for today will be 1609. That is a pretty typical day on the plan. On days that I workout, I add an additional protein in the form of a protein shake...that would up my caloric intake to 1720 on the day.
That doesn't really seem to be super low or anything.
