Hard to say bc me and the mrs are headed to Pensacola for the weekend. We won't be back till Sunday night. Tomorrow morning def hitting up Chickfila breakfast just a combo with orange juice. Probably drive thru for lunch and a restaurant for supper. I'm gotta a feeling that Sunday will be hard since we will be coming back and it's hard to eat normal on the road w/o starving myself. The hotel has breakfast so I can do eggs and fruit on Sunday. Lunch is up in the air and so is supper. I'll be bringing the jump rope to put time in on that as well.
If y'all think a cheat day once a week is too often please chime in. It helps push me onward and stick to the diet knowing I have a one day break from it.

I would probably just do a cheat meal once a week since you are just getting started but do what works for you. Also its easy to eat healthy on the road.

just perusign this thread like i randomly do. good luck brah. quit 4 years ago this september. codl turkey. gradually cut down from 10 a or so a day to about 3 a day the couple weeks prior to pulling the plug. hardest cravings to kick for me were the after dinner and before bedtime ones.
i was always weird about when i smoked though. could never have one before lunch or i'd feel like crap the rest of the day.

Thanks potnah. My biggest I've found are right when I wake up, right after lunch and when I'm drinking. Managed 3 a day which I'm happy with so far. Hope to be completely quit by next week. Gonna how I do on a weekend.
How did you feel a week, a month after you quit?

my last cig was late night/early morning of the lsu/uw season opener in 09. was craving one so bad by the end of the 1st quarter
felt good. stamina when i'd run or shoot hoops was much better. used to be a non factor when i was a kid but approaching my mid 20s (not to mention the tobacco tax in texas) i figured i'd give quitting a shot. it also helps if you ease yourself off of it with weed if that is an option

I was thinking cigars but I've always got a stash around in case I'm in a mood.

Woot! Already noticed some of my old shirts are fitting me better, still a long way to go though. One day at a time.

You don't even know what I look like.... Or do you???
186/166/Shredded cheese in 6 days
Hit 20 lb mark. I would have to guess it's at least 25 of fat and put back 5 lb of muscle. PSMF is for sure working. I just don't want to be losing any lean body mass. No workout today. Possible light cardio. Will increase my calories by about 100 again but will still follow the macro s.

Maybe I need to really look into IF and this PSMF because I keep staying between 210-217 even though I've stayed between 1700-2000 calories eaten a day and I've done light/heavy cardio over past two weeks.
(one day light when I lift, heavy when I don't)

I wouldn't do PSMF yet if I were you. Start with IF and see what that does. Honestly I only lost maybe 3 more pounds with IF but definitely noticed a mirror difference. And clothes difference.
PSMF, at least for me, is a 10 day crash fat burning diet. Trying to get as lean as possible.

I know what IF is but what is PSMF?

186/165.4/5 days
Another lb down after another day. I increased calories to almost 1100 yesterday. Hitting 1200 today. Still clean, extremely low carbs, fat, and sodium. No sugars. High protein.
PSMF (Protein Sparing Modified Fast) is a super clean high protein "crash diet". Caloric intake cut down to about 800 grams and protein actually upped to about 180-200 or so grams.
I'm modifying it for my personal use though since I won't be doing a controlled refeed at the end of my ten days on it. (Going to Vegas). And I don't want my body to go into shock. So 2 days ago I started upping caloric intake by about 100 g/day.
So far I've lost 1 lb everyday I'm on it. And pretty positive it's all body fat.
