In my eyes he earns a pass for 1 season for his spectacular play last year. All the Saints are doing by bringing in other kickers is just putting more pressure on Hartley. He's a good kicker that is going through a rough time. He'll get back to what he was last year. Just give hime time.

I guess you guys forgot when Carney missed an extra point after a play that won an ESPY.

guess they should have thought second about signing Matt Bryant when he was waived from the Bucs last year...check out this guy's stats, he's one hell of a kicker, up around 80%, and I'm not just saying this because of yesterday, the guy is solid

That's exactly what you want. The Saints need to find out now if he can handle it, not in some playoff game down the road.

I don't know, the guy is 3 of 7. This is a business and it's not about what have you done, but what have you done lately, and lately he ain't cutting it

I really wish the Saints didnt have to worry about kickers. Thats the last thing that should be on a teams mind.

He missed a kick that amounted to about an extra point. I was in the opposite endzone down low and he wasn't even close..

I agree with you. I don't think you can him yet. Give him another shot to right his wrong like he did last year.

Don't praise him completely for last year. If I'm correct, he didn't hold the kicking job down until late in the season.

This year he missed a 29-yarder, a 32-yarder and one from 40+ yards. All had a side-to-side rotation. He may be the next head case of a kicker in the NFL.

That had nothing to do with his kicking abilities.

What about the times he choked last year?

Kickers are a dime a dozen. IDGAF what he did last season, if he wants to keep his job he needs to get his shite in check.

He only missed one reasonable kick last year, but it was a choke

They have help for Hartley in very close proximity. His name is Josh Jasper. Keep Hartley for the rest of this year...then draft Jasper next year. The dude is money and his kicks RARELY snap hook left.

The 2007 and 2008 New Orleans Saints disagree with you

Maybe if this was the first time Hartley's done this.

Or if he hadn't looked like shite so far this season.

Remember that Mark Brunell was his holder last year and Morstead is now.Maybe this explains some misses.
