Ours is non-existent, even though we have the likes of Sheppard, Gibson (QB in HS) Ware (QB right?) Randle (QB right)

Bama uses it with Richardson AND Ingram?

Ole Miss used it with McCluster

Maybe Moo St. used it with their big back last year?

Arky with McFadden

Florida was de Facto Wildcat with Tebow
Didn't they use it some with Demps/Rainey?

Is the short field option play with JJ a better choice???

What gives?

Running this abortion of a play multiple times will be our only chance to make a game of it.

Anyone who can't notice the failure of the coaching staff is kidding themselves. The answer for most of the offensive struggles can be "Miles and Co."

We WILL run the option. Miles said today running it for 2 or less yards is a good play.

Our Wildcat

I don't think the one play we ran with Shepard at QB counts as "a wildcat."

I think having so many playmakers on offense confuses Miles and Crowton that they forget about running plays like the wildcat.

If I had one wish, I don't know what would win, ending world hunger or never seeing LSU run the option again.

I haven't seen our Wildcat since MSU 09. and Chuck was running the jet sweep.

Yes, I am confused about why we DON'T run this sometimes. And I agree, the one play with Shepard does not a wildcat make. We ran it with Doucet some, but ours is essentially nonexistent.

How can they continue to defend and run the short side option as often as they do?

Anyone know the avg. yards for this year on that play?

Well the main difference between LSU under Les Miles and talented teams around the country is not the caliber of the athlete because we have the best in the country on our team right now. It is that other teams will actually design plays and various offensive packages around players to ensure they put their best athletes on the field at all times!! Where as with Les, this is not and will never be the case!!

Did he? That seems unlikely.

Do you have a quote?

I used to support Les Miles with a passion, I love LSU and I have a great want for them to succeed and that is exactly why I have decided that we need to fire his dumb arse! I can't bear this cross any longer,....I love any player who wears an LSU uniform and works hard and does his best. I care about Jordan Jefferson, but that has little to do with the success of this team. He needs to grab a cliboard and stand on the sidelines for awhile and watch another hardworking student athlete have his chance. Jarrett Lee can do no worse and deserves his chance again. If nothing else JJ might gain some confidence if JL messes up and he might feel less pressure to excel. He might learn something, he might get motivated, and JL might actually improve our offense's production, he might open up the run with a threat of a completed pass and most importantly I will never see that option to the short side again. If Les Miles stays on after this year, Crowton definitely must go, the sooner the better!!!!!!!!!

either,

i think he would be better as the QB, running straight ahead

But..

Shep or Randle at QB to have a passing threat for a trick play would make more sense.

yeah that's what I was thinking about earlier. PP running the sweep while building up a head of steam would be deadly. or a Ware/ Shep or RR/ Shep look. something dammit!

I was going to say we have a wildcat formation? Cause if we do, we rarely use it.

We will all be around supporting LSU long after Miles leaves. I support LSU and want what's best for the program. Miles has run a very clean, mostly respectable program here. I'm very tired of him saying the same things over and over about needing to improve. It has to start getting to the players at some point. They aren't immune to the fans and the general consensus that Miles and Crowton are frick ups because of what we see on the field.

I'm always going to pull for LSU. While we are undefeated, the passing offense has been a joke once again. This is a huge problem for Miles and if he can't get it done, we need an entirely new coaching staff and a replacement/change of ways for Miles.
