What is this logo?

I just bought a shirt at the Co-op and I like this logo, it seems like a slight twist or modernization of the old tiger head. Maybe this is a Toonces killer?

Um, okay. To each his own. I like it because the tiger looks like a freakin tiger, not a cartoon with multiple sclerosis.

It doesn't seem to me that it does. WTF does vintage mean anymore? Everything's vintage if it's five minutes old.
Let me rephrase, does this logo look familiar, as in something that has actually been used officially by LSU in the past and I've somehow missed it, or is it a generic logo meant to have vintage styling?

Definitely looks better than the shite that people here refer to as Toonces.
