LSU is getting into the position to call the same offense it always has. Against MSU, there was a reason not to call the entire offense. LSU moved the football, did what it was supposed to do, and controlled the game. When LSU lines up with the best, LSU will have to throw it and run it, and LSU will be prepared to do that.

Let the offense come of age.

It'll be interesting to see which offense performs the best this Saturday.

If only we could throw it against some of the worst.

LSU can, and LSU has.

Perhaps LSU has not thrown it prolifically, but LSU has thrown it successfully.

If you consider the 115th ranked passing offense and 120 yards per game a success.

Not sure I'd call 100+ ranked passing attack successful.

yea, after the vandy game, many fans suffered from amnesia and forgot all of the other games JJ played. last year we couldn't run a lick and JJ did a lot better than his vandy performance. i think and hope that was an aberation. i'm sure there will be some ups and downs but i agree with you and am optimistic, albeit cautiously.

Why don't you just be more realistic? LSU will not be able to pass the ball worth a crap this season. They will likely lose when they play teams that will stop the run. That means that UF, Bama, and poss. Auburn will beat LSU. I'd consider 9-3 very successful.

I wish there was a way to permaban anyone from the following phrases:

"holding stuff back"
"turn it on against good teams"
"saving stuff for Bama/Florida"

Etc, they're so far from the truth and don't have anything to do with our offensive struggles.

LSU is also 109th in pass attempts.

However, LSU is 95th in Yds/Att, so I don't really think we've been all that efficient either. Though the Vandy game is a big drag on those numbers.

I understand the frustrations as well.....

but you don't know this. You don't know the gameplans going into games. Stop acting as if you do.

Speaking of our passing game, it appears that WVU's top CB, Brandon Hogan, is going to play Saturday. His replacement got burned on a couple TD passes v. Maryland last week.
