I watched UGA own us in 2005 SECCG, only to be embarrassed by WV. Embarrassed I tell you.

I know they lost RR, Slayton and White, and couldn't beat Pitt to go to 2007 BCS, and barely beat Marshall this year, but I think it will be a tough, hard fought game.

Yeah, and Utah beat Bama in the Sugar Bowl two years ago. Your point?

I think it will be a tough game but nothing they did in 2005 matters anymore.

I tend not to overlook any team. It is certainly possible for WV to beat LSU.

Not that what I think has any bearing on the team's performance.

If WVU wins it will be an upset. I'm not predicting a win, but WVU is much better than what most of the fans on here seem to think.

BTW, for those saying I'm a Bama fan, this will be the first time in my life to root for LSU's opponent. I was in section 600 for the NC over OU and would have been at the NC over OSU of not for the flu.

So you're comparing a team playing 11 games in 68 days to a team with a month to prepare for one game. Oh o.k. I see your point.

I think we're about a TD better than West Virginia. That's certainly not taking them lightly.

Have you not been watching this team the last two years? Just about all our wins are hard fought these days with our inability to score a lot of points.

It'll be no different Saturday night. But it'll be a win.

Please don't misunderstand my comparison as it relates to time. I am fully aware it was in 2005, as it is stated in my OP.

My point is that I came away being very impressed by how UGA manhandled us, and was surprised to see WV take the rightful SEC champ to the wood shed.

BAMA was SEC runner up the year Utah owned them--had they won they would have gone to BCS NC game. Utah didn't care. They also took a successful SEC team to the woodshed.

I know, we owned VTech, and you can probably go the other with examples.

I don't wanna be taken to the woodshed Saturday.
