are just toying with our opponents until the bigger opponents come about you know when they feel they are being really challenged.

Granted the N. Carolina game was scary but could they have taken them lightly before the game because of all the suspensions...

I wish, I get the feeling we have major problems in the passing game and when Jefferson does throw the occasional good pass, we drop half of them.

No. We don't know what we are capable of. there is no substitute for experience. JJ needs the experience of throwing the midrange passes into man-to-man and zone coverages. he needs the practice of doing it and having to read coverages and delivering under pressure.

he doesn't need to be learning how against Florida and Alabama.

I think they are struggling more-so than holding the cards close to the vest....BUT!....I do think they are hiding somewhere around half of the playbook at this point.

Not this crap again. Let me know when you find our passing game and Crowton's super-secret playbook..

The offense is not playing to score the most points possible. They are playing to give us the best chance to win. WE could most likely open up the play book and score more points, but that makes us prone to more mistakes and gives other teams chances for good field position and chances to put the ball in the endzone. This isn't NCAA football 2010 for the XBox 360. Our coaches know more than everybody on this board combined and they are doing whats best for us to win.

No. They're only doing what it takes to win. When the LSU defense has a bad game, you will see entirely different playcalling. I dont know why this is so hard for some of you to understand. To be honest, I think the main problem on offense has been JJ's inability to see the entire field and his accuaracy. If you are Crowton or Miles, and you realize these things....and you realize that you defense and special teams are dominating...then you simply call a conservative offensive series and do just enough to not ruin it for the other phases. See most Nick Saban teams and see the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. It is really simple stuff.

Having said that, no one should believe that our offense isnt also struggling. They definitely are... but the numbers (which seems to be so important to armchair QBs and playstation gamers) are going to be lower when you:

1. Play a conservative style of offense

2. Are provided by special teams and defense with a short field and/or TDs.

LSU would have gone over 400 yds of offense if the D didnt play well vs Moo U. Simple stuff here people.
