Toliver has had his issues over the years and I could see where the staff might not have helped him reach his potential, but Rueben Randle has superstar written all over him, and we need someone to get him the ball.

Shepard has his limitations and may never be the receiver we would like him to be. We will need him to fill big shoes in the return game next year, however.

As far as hitting someone in stride and taking it to the house goes, I'll settle for hitting someone beyond the first down marker.

Almost the entire thread debating who should be carrying the rock, but we better be worried about who's chunking the rock. Our running game is not the cause of our anemic offensive stats.

Like I said, I don't know if it's true or not, but someone said it in another thread yesterday.

Personally, I'd redshirt Ware too if Blue and Ridley are gonna get all the carries. Throw in some Ford and Murphy and there's no reason to waste a year.

Quit asking why Ford is not playing. Ford is a very talented back who does some things as well as LSU’s other backs, but he has had trouble with his running and blocking assignments, and right now Ridley, Murphy, Blue and Spencer Ware are just better.

Why do I even bother to read what Miles or any other coach says. They never say ANYTHING. Guess its the same reason I sniff the milk I know is spoiled before I throw it out.

this statement could have been directed to Ford as much or more than it actually was to the press, IMO.

IMO the statement was directed to Alfred Blue.

Hurt Murphy > ford

Apparently.

Well when it comes to intagibles and major things like, say, blocking, I would rather have Murph in there for sure.

Why can't you just understand that the game didn't line up for putting Ford in as he sees it?
Why does the game have to "line up"? He's a running back, he runs the ball, the other guys are running backs, they run the ball. (some better than others). There is no "game lining up". You just put the back in there and let him run.

You guys act like if he says that he should run him out on the 2nd play.

After Blue fumbles for the 10th time and can't get his blocking assignment right, why NOT put Ford in there and let him have a shot?

I'm not saying that Miles doesn't have a good reason, maybe he does, but his explanations (for most things) are utter bullshite, annoying and frustrating. If the guy can't get it done, just say it.

And then everyone can come on here and bash Miles for throwing him under the bus.

On this note I cannot remember Randle dropping almost any routine passes thrown to him. Throw in a couple of highlight reel catches such as the one against AU last year and Randle would be my number one target for the QB.

randle like peterson/shepard is a special tallent. for a skill player of his caliber you have to find a way to get him the ball.

What's baffling to me is why Ware saw any time at all. If Blue is good enough to be the #2 guy, why waste the guys frosh year?

As long as the running game continues to show improvement over last year and is the one bright spot of the Offense I don't care if it is Ms. Miles carrying the ball.

OK but you said he's the head coach and just do it. I'm saying Les knows that and will put him in when he sees the spot he's looking for. Sorry that's not the same with when you think it should happen but the man never said he wanted to get him in when you wanted him in.

Ridley has been spectacular this season.

Spectacular is not the word I think of when I think of Ridley. I would say solid performace up to this point with a really good game against Vandy. Spectacular is a word I would reserve for someone like Denard Robinson.
