"I think you'll see more of Michael Ford. I keep saying that and I mean it. I'd like to get Ford on the field."

I laughed.

It sounded to me like the media that was present was a little "nicer" to Les this week. Maybe it was because our Offense did look better, not record breaking, but better.

It's really laughable to think Ford is going to get meaningful playing time.

These are obvious to me at this point:
-Jefferson is our starter unless he gets injured
-Ridley is the lead back, and Blue is his backup. Murphy also has more of a chance to play than Ford.
-We are going to run the ball more often than not
-Defense is sick
-Peterson for Heisman
-We will win 10 games this year

I like this comment alot. It shows that CLM knows our team still has growing to do and he expects to play for championships.

Last I checked, he's the damn head coach! If you want Ford on the field, put him there!

I really don't get the concern for Ford.

Ridley has been spectacular this season.

Some idiot will undoubtedly say that Miles does not have to "want" to play Ford, he just has to play him. He is the head coach and he can make the call. However, what I am sure he means by that comment is that he is going to put Ford in when the opportunity presents itself. I think he will get a few touches against WV and the running game will be sick this week.

Yes he has, and I think its more the thought that all we heard about in Spring was Ford and now you dont see him at all.

Ridley and Blue have looked fine. I find it hard to believe that Blue is so much better than Ford that Blue couldn't have been redshirted, but it really doesn't matter.

We have so many capable backs that it really doesn't matter. I haven't been let down by Ridley's running abilities. He seems to have learned to hold onto the ball.

And maybe it's because giving the Head Coach shite when he hasn't lost a game yet and his team has improved each week against gradually improving competition makes you look like a fool.

Yeah but what if ridley goes down? Then what? Who else has had significant pt? Same thing holds true at qb

RB is a hell of a lot easier to replace than QB

Thats a bit over stated to me, Im not going to say they looked like fools because after the abismal performance from the O in Nashville, questions needed to be asked. I just think that maybe some people arent as quick to jump up and scream "The offense sucks!" when we had a very good game, just couldnt capitalize on some opportunities.

Could it be an issue of running styles? I admitedly don't know much about the style of either Blue or Ford, but I do know that Ridley, while fast, is primarily a power runner. If Ford is also a power guy, then it makes sense to use Blue since it would be a change of pace type of thing. Get what I'm trying to say? I don't know that answer, but maybe this could be why.
