Just an observance listening to local sportstalk.....MUCH more positive this week.

You can feel it in the air, guys. This team is headed in the right direction.

There are special education classrooms in Baton Rouge with more sense than the people who call in to local sports talk radio.

He did say Team. Last I checked the D is part of the team.

When the D sucked Les got killed for it. Now they are good and Les is only responsible for the O

You will find out just how much they are starting to come on board if LSU has to win the game on it's final drive or in the overtime in the games against WVU or Tennessee. But, yes it is quiter on the home front but, not so much Nationaly.

If LSU handles WVU with ease this weekend then it may make them to start to take notice into what is going on in Baton Rouge. I hope they don't until after the Florida game and LSU goes into the Swamp and beats Florida then the National Media will follow the team home and then they will know we are for real.

True. I'm not sure they are winning over critics as much as people are accepting the situation for what it is. The criticizm has overwhelmingly focused on the offense and I'm not sure much has changed.

Aside from winning/losing the negativity comes from the belief that the team is simply playing beneath their potential.

Defense I would say by all accounts and anyone's standards in playing out it's mind and has not simply pulled though with vastly superior talent, but out schemed the opposition as well.

Offense, while improved from last week is still not producing to the degree it needs to be for us to seriously challenge the elite program(s). Thankfully there appears to be just one anymore. If LSU scored TDs on even half the red zone trips, I think things would be dramatically different.

JJ is not going anywhere and we need to accept a mediocre at best offense and hope the D continues to play out of its mind.

All this team needs is a "Big Win." You'll see huge momentum come back in to the program.

You know it's right there waiting for us at the Swamp.

I don't know any of the regular callers personally, so I really couldn't say, but I was referring to the hosts themselves. The 9 am man even admitted he was wrong about this year's team, and now believes LSU is a lot better than he expected.

Someone needs to tell that to the callers-in to WWL.

No doubt. Look, LSU has beaten one top 25 team (at the end of the year) since the championship year. An impressive win over WVU on ESPN/2 would do wonders for the mood. If they win big over UT on CBS, even better.

A win over the Gators? Yeah, that would do the trick.

Defense is half of the game (or more), so that point is not to be discounted. If the offense can get in a flow and rhythm this team could be quite dangerous.

The defense and special teams is as good or better than I had hoped. I love the scheme and the guys are flat out flying around and making plays. The offense shows flashes but they are being tightly controlled by the staff. If they start clicking watch out.
