1. Dolphins: beat a bad BUF team and what appears to be a bad MIN team. Neither win was impressive. Paper tiger at the moment.

2. Steelers: wins over TEN and ATL without starting QB. very legit at this point. defense is great right now

3. Texans: beat WAS and IND. simply legit. offense is going to be tough to stop. look like Saints of the AFC at this time

4. Chiefs: beat a bad CLE and a better looking SD. i'm on the fence with this team. need to see more

5. Bears: same as Chiefs, but the offense looks promising with a win over a better looking DET and a worse looking DAL

6. Green Bay: Suprised that they are still on fence for me. Crushed a horrible BUF and then beat a PHI team that lost it's starting QB. Will probably be legit in a week or two once resume improves.

7. Bucs: Paper Tigers with wins over bad CLE and worse looking CAR offense.

The Texans remind me of Loyola Marymount not a ton defense but they can score.

If the Dolphins are a paper Tiger, so are the Chiefs.

Beat the same Vikings team the Saints did by practically the same exact score AT their dome.

This is the best defense the Fins have had since Zach Thomas left.

FWIW, the Saints started '06 2-0 with the emotional win in the reopening of the dome and a bad Cleveland team.

A lot of people felt they were paper tigers and they wound up in the NFCCG.

Starting out 2-0 can give you a confidence boost that can be worth a few points here and there IMO.

True, now if they beat the 49er's they'll be for real. Doubt if a bad team can pull off a 3-0. I'll consider them lucky, winning with defense and special teams.

They have weapons on offense, they're just poorly utilized and Cassel has been pretty shitty.

I would put the Texans in a category after the Steelers and Packers but before the Bears and Dolphins

of course...i'm a texans fan so not biased at all

The Chiefs are extremely thin paper tigers if their QB doesn't get significantly better.

Actually the Saints started 2-0 with wins over a bad Cleveland team and an average Green Bay team. Then got to 3-0 with the emotional win in the dome against the Falcons....But your point is accurate. Confidence can go a long way (didn't help the Broncos last year though).

I think Dallas beat themselves up more than the Bears beat them.

1. Dolphins: Legit. Gritty HC, gritty team. 2-0 on road. Brutal division.

2. Steelers: Legit. Impressive to control entire games vs Atl and Tenn, without BR at QB, and with an OL that struggled badly in the preseason. Retooled and refocused a bit.

3. Texans: Very legit, as was last year, strong O, but still has holes in terms of elite Super Bowl contender.

4. Chiefs: Improved. But, totally paper tiger.

5. Bears: Legit, Cutler coming of age. Solid D, physical and large, a grinder.

6. Green Bay: Elite Super Bowl Contender..still without Grant, and Harrell out for year.

7. Bucs: Paper Tiger, improved, but beat two bottom-feeders.

Tampa Bay will be taken back to reality once the season gets in full swing.

probably an 8-9 win team

2. Steelers:

Great D. Will be awesome when Big Ben comes back. One of the best teams in the NFL.

3. Texans:

Possibly a wild card team, but that's about it IMO

quote:

4. Chiefs:

Doubt they make the playoffs

quote:

5. Bears:

Possibly a wild card team if Cutler doesn't turn the ball over

quote:

6. Green Bay:

2nd best team in the NFC

quote:

7. Bucs:

Suck. No chance at playoffs.

Dolphins have a good defense, but their offense is going to sputter all year.

Sputter all year? Really? We've played two road games against a really good defense and a decent one. We finished 17th in offense last year, I think we'll be a little better this year.
