But to think that UNC's 2nd teamers are better than MSU's starting defense is beyond laughable.

How many first rounders do you think MSU's defense has? How many any rounders do you think MSU's defense has? Even though UNC defense wasn't their starters they still had at least 2 first rounders out there.

It's not JJ's fault he has an incompetent moron as a head coach and offensive coordinator.

Fwiw, I'd like to see what JJ could do if we threw the ball 30+ times just once.

He was very late on that throw AND underthrew it, almost allowing the DB, who Randle had beat like a ginger stepchild, to break it up. It was still encouraging, less encouraging is it the only thing we tried deep against a depleted secondary who could not physically match up with TT and RR.

As for the defensive comparison, the UNC defense might have been missing some key players, but they had some good ones still out there.

He was late on the throw because RR wasn't even his 3rd option. He looked 3 different ways before he threw that pass. I've never seen so much bitching about a 51yd TD pass in all my life.

This.

Bad thing is we have to recruit out of state to find one.

I want a true passing QB that makes good reads, I don't care if he runs a 7.0 forty. Just like running QB's fail in the NFL and it takes a true pocket passer, the same holds true in the SEC. 1 exception being Tebow and he was a good passer in the SEC and they had a great OC who knew how to use his talents....we don't have that

You speak the truth. Teams with "Running QB's" RARELY win Championships. If you're going to have a "Dropback pocket passer" though, he better damn sure be able to process information quickly, read defenses and have enough between the ears to find those 2nd, 3rd and 4th WR options........

In all fairness, wouldn't you guys be a little scared to check your subsequent reads if you had to play behind last year's offensive line? It would take me six games this year before I did anything except scramble if it was me....

JJ will be fine this year, you know, once he realizes the O line is average this year.

It was brought up in the SEC Rant that only 6 of Cam's last 20 passes were completed past the line of scrimmage.

If Jordan had 14 throws behind the line of scrimmage fans would revolt

You're bitching about a 51 yard td pass here the qb looked off two other primary receivers before throwing.

Some of you should have back strains from reaching

JJ has absolutely HORRIBLE mechanics, especially his release/accuracy.

Oh no, someone is repeating the talking points.

JJ threw the ball with good mechanics, much improved over his freshman year.

This happens to the QB, it actually is a GOOD thing.

He was jittery with the ball

YALL QBs are taught to be jittery in the pocket, keeping feet moving and not becoming a statue.

Thank you Doc....

I dont think folks realize just how hard this throw is to make.

It is not like they are in the backyard playing catch and the receiver can just adjust to the ball...making everyone feel like Brett Farve.

This is the real shite, folks coming at you, making reads, that millisecond that it took to get the ball out may be the millisecond that he needed to get his shoulders turned to throw it thru a fricking hula hoop at 51 fricking yards.
All KNOWING you are fixing to get hit by a fricking mule.

ANYONE criticizing that throw/catch is an exposed fool.

You know why it was a good throw???Cause it was a touchdown!!!

I don't think JJ is a QB that can get it done against the elite D's

So who's fault is that? Its clear that JJ is not a read option type QB, so why are we running those plays. JJ is not an option QB period. If they wanted to run that offense then get a QB for. It doesn't appear that we can coach up a QB. I don't understand why the OC is getting a pass here. The OC has everything to do with a QB's success. Our play calling sucks...............period.

We've had exactly one of these in the last eight years.

As bad as I hate to agree with Roaad, (in his latest string of poor positions hes taken), this one is really a no-brainer. And supported by the facts
