It sucks that he won't be able to play, but I don't think it is that big of a loss except maybe in the blocking aspect of things. When have we ever really used the TE as a receiving threat? The last "big time" TE we had was Robert Royal.

It's actually the exact opposite of this, DP's a better receiver than a blocker, and I think was going to be a pretty great target this season. Joseph and Clement I think will be good blockers, but you'll miss DP's athleticism... esp. if they're missing starting LB's.

He is a matchup nightmare. Its a huge loss.
