I'll probably see it. In the same vein as The Expendables, I'd reckon.

You couldn't pay me to see this anti-American garbage.

quote:

there is a race war in the works between Mexicans and racist gringos. Central to this conflict is the divisive border issue. “We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us!” Jessica Alba’s character declares in the film.

quote:

It is anti-American propaganda funded in part by Texas tax payers. It is designed to create animosity between Americans and Mexicans.

First, Jessica Alba delivering the line should be enough to make you ignore what she's saying. Second, have you seen the trailer for this? *SPOILERS* There's a scene where he uses a dude's intestines to jump from one floor to another. This is an instant classic B-Movie.

Lindsay Lohan spends her little time in the movie completely naked, apparently.

He fails to mention that Rodriguez is a proud Texan and notorious for employing local Austin actors, production crews and caterers. I guess some might argue that hiring Austinites is anti-American though, .

Like having an opinion on a movie? Or the sentiment it expounds? Yea, that's taking life too seriously.

It's a B movie by a guy who loves to make B movies. It's fiction. The subject matter provides a good story. I seriously doubt Rodriquez is using the film for political purposes.

I think it is funny that Machete was his name in Spy Kids. Now that is definitely a stretch from one genre to another.
