Why should you give alums' kids in-state tuition if they decided to leave the state? You aren't putting tax money or consistent revenue into the state, so why should you get the benefits.

Sounds like a bunch of whiners who left the state to get paid and now want to get a discount.

I am glad he fixed this shite.

If this is what LSU is producing, we are even further away from being a top national university than I thought.

Dumbass, because it draws a significant number of the offspring of LSu grads who left the state thus keeping that family's connection to Louisiana, their families Alma mater and perhaps, no definitely, drawing kids from academic backgrounds beneficial to the school and Louisiana who otherwise would not come. Also, a percentage of those will connect with their roots in LA or find employment opportunities in the state by virtue of matriculating at LSU. Finally, they will serve as ambassadors for LSU to their friends and siblings around the country to areas where we are not as well known and/or get little respect like the Northeast, California, etc. Therefore chew on that and accept the fact you just said something retarded

I fully agree with this!...I have a solution if you want in state tuition...Move back in state!
