He was just on Songy & was asked who he was "afraid of" on this year's schedule. The first two games he mentioned were UNC, and- I shite you not- Miss State.

I swear- it sounded like he's afraid of everybody we play.

Its not really ridiculous to think Miss St. could beat us. They should have beat us last year and they will be better.

we had a tough time with MS State last year. If they improve and LSU does not, MS State could give us trouble again. LSU should win it, but we haven't soundly beaten MS State since 2007.

Nah, their QB issues make ours look non-existent.

Miles better hopes he beats Vandy and State.
He better beat Ole Miss and either Ark or Auburn as well.

North Carolina would be deflating but not career defining. He better beat West Va at home.

Krysan and Songy don't have 100 IQ points between them.

For a team that won only 9 games last year, lost 13 starters from last year and plays a tougher schedule than last year, why would "less than 9 wins" be a surprising prediction?

Miles could survive a loss in one of these games if LSU beats everyone but Bama and UF on the regular SEC schedule.

Tommy Krysan is an old washed-up former radio personality here in Baton Rouge. He has moved on to bigger and better things, like being the SLU play-by-play guy for football and baseball (If he's still doing that...), and failed sports shows on the public access cable channels.

You are either a tad bit OVER confident, OR you just don't know shite about football.

The biggest reason? Because this is 2010, not 2009. When you have a talent base like ours, you have a better reason than 90% out there to be optimistic.

We have added new blood in the coaching staff- with new ideas. We are designing a better offensive scheme that will allow us to use more of our weapons. Shephard will be a force for LSU this year- he will be on the field nearly every snap.

Our defense will be improved from last year, IMHO. I believe we all can say that the bleeding stopped last year in that department.

The "sense of urgency" will be apparent this year. There is no time to lose, and Miles and Co. know this more than anyone. 8 wins will not be enough to stay here. PERIOD.

In 2003, we were coming off a disappointing 8-5 season. Nobody predicted what happened next. It's more difficult than it seems to assume what will happen this season based on what happened last year.

But- we will see.
