re: School with potential in football

ACTUALLY, Louisiana Tech is the sleeping giant in this state. *cue laughter from most fools on here* LSU's been propped up insanely by the state government throughout their history, which is the ONLY reason they're the only "major" program. There's a ridiculous amount of talent in this state, and now that we have a decent administration in charge in Ruston, things are radically changing and we're even poaching SEC recruits here and there. We just spent $76 million in the past couple of years on various athletics improvements and are putting up a $20 million stadium enhancement and athletic facility... with a ton more coming as soon as we bulldoze a few old buildings to make room. It's not taking very long to raise any of this money either. LaTech has the HIGHEST rate of alumni giving out of the entire state's public universities.

I know you guys on here will yuck it up to this, but it's true, and we at least actually have FANS in this state that are not supporters of LSU, like the other 3 FBS schools. We've played LSU THREE times since World War II, two of those times were some of the worst Tech teams ever versus the two best Tiger teams. Last year, we walked into Tiger Stadium with pretty much NO starters and a bunch of freshmen in their first game, with an idiot coach that had the worst offensive scheming ever, and STILL had to gift-wrap that damn win to you guys toward the end of the game. Sure, you still won at the end of the day, but I'm just sayin', we do have potential, so there is room in this state for 2 "major" programs. We're certainly not there yet, but it's our goal in the long run.

I'm not tryin' to hate with this post either, at least not on LSU. I'm just speakin' up for my Bulldogs! (The first team in Div 1 to be named the Bulldogs, as a random fact)
