Name the coaches that have come back from the "hot seat"

Going on record as saying that I'm behind Miles, but the hot seat is obvious. What coaches in the last 10-20 years have been on the hot seat, and have gone on to remove themselves based on performance?

Tuberville..."Jet-Gate" 2003 to Undefeated in 2004

Thanks for linking. I didn't want to have to answer again because someone doesn't know how to use the search function.

Interestingly, I can't think of any LSU coach in the modern era who has succeeded in getting off the hot seat. McClendon, Stovall, Archer, Hallman, and DiNardo all took a seat and subsequently fried.

Tubberville only got temporary relief. The 2004 season was sort of a "screw you" to the AD who tried to hire another coach behind his back in 2003.

Fox Sports, ESPN, & CNNSI are all hammering him. I love it. All our players read that. His own kids read the cover of ESPN.com. I have been tired of the positive garbage from Randy Rosetta. There are real problems. I am glad they are being addressed and talked about.

You must be a blast at parties.

Mack Brown - Texas. Close example to Miles and the perceived problems he has with game management. Mack hired great coordinators, and is a great recruiter in an athlete-rich environment.
Worked for him, it can for Miles.

The fans got on his case in 2002, but I wouldn't really say it was a "hot seat."

Mack Brown's problem was Oklahoma. And a lot of that was due to the fact that he had lost to Oklahoma five seasons in a row, I think, and no other coach in the history of Texas had kept his job after losing to Oklahoma like that. Mack Brown was the exception.

How many times has Miles lost to any of Ole Miss/Arky/Kentucky in his five prior seasons?
How many straight losses to Nutt?
Ole Miss/Arky/Kentucky is not even in the same stratosphere as Oklahoma. They should almost never even be on the field with us except for an occasional run at an upset that should always fail.
Houston Nutt is no Bob Stoops.
Houston Nutt and Arky beat the eventual MNC Tigers with two running backs and 9 JC caliber players and a cornerback and defensive end and 9 JC caliber players.
