To the team making the offer. The Grizz would get to pay the contract out as it is written, so the first 2 years would be around the MLE. If they resign Randolph they'll be forced to move multiple players for nothing in 2 years, but that's in 2 years. The fact that they made an irrational decision like maxing out Rudy Gay suggests there's no guarantee they wouldn't match a Gasol offer sheet.

I thought the Griz would have to meet the cap hold even if they were paying less money or something like that. I thought their was some scenario where they could technically lose the player.
