I'll go try one and let you know. I need to lay down a dime on Chocolate Puppy in the fifth anyway.

The add says they are on Old Hammond between Millerville and Flannery....but the mapquest in the add shows them on Jefferson near old hammond....now, that's quite a difference

Didn't Mark Maggio run a couple of the Italian restaurants over the years-was there was one bearing his name in the shopping center where the Dead Zone just closed down? If it's the same guy, then the muff might be pretty decent. Please report back-I am on a continuing quest to find the best one in Baton Rouge.

Mark is a great guy who was doing Catering for Ricky Bearden at Southern Belle after his restaurant closed. I am glad to see he is back in business. I will stop just for the Maggio bread

A dime?
If he's back at it, this venture will end like all the rest. My wife ate at the new place and really enjoyed it, but then again Mark has been a family friend forever. She probably got special treatment.

If you had a nickel for every venture he's had you would have a big stack of nickels.

Stopped by with the wife & kids after their first football practice last week. Mark was a great host & seemed to be enjoying himself. Kids loved the spaghetti & meatballs & my chick parm was a big hit as well. Known Mark for a long time & wish him well...It is more of a take out place right now but who knows what it will morph into!

Ask Mark who he's putting money down on the HOF game today. I want to go the other way.

That's his problem, as long as he's on the other side of the phone he's OK, when he starts playing.

There were some photos someone showed me on Facebook and they looked very good. The muff photo looked enticing. Couldn't see a lot of olive salad, but that may have been the angle. The meats were plentiful and the bread looked good.

Wonder how his tomato gravy is? Looks like they sell that, as well. I'm not a fan of sweet tomato gravy.

I sampled some meatballs & red sauce at a charity fundraiser a few months ago...it was very good. I don't remember it being overly sweet--not like Monjuni's at least.
