As an LSU fan, I am really tired of all of the Les Miles bashing.
He's not a bad coach. We, as LSU fans, have become spoiled over the past few years due to our success. Success as in two national titles within 4 years. Because of this, LSU fans are now ready to call for the neck of any coach if we don't finish in the top 5.
The reality is that we're in the SEC, every team is LOADED with talent and depth. We're facing the Nick Saban era in Alabama and we just now got done with the Tebow era in Florida.
We've had our time of recent success. Maybe it's just me, but we have a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP winning head coach. I can take the fact he has a couple "down years" 2 years removed from winning the title. You also can argue that it was "Saban's players"...yes...but without the Mad Hatter calling for the 4th down conversions, we wouldn't have won anything that year.
LSU fans need to step back, breathe, and be patient. Our time will come again soon enough. Hopefully.

You're wasting your breath. These people are not coming from the same place you are and you'll never convince them. The motivation that drives them is not out and out fandom for the LSU Tigers.
I'm sure their motivations are diverse - it could be that Miles would not shake their hands in the bathroom at Walk Ons; or that they still can't accept tha Saban left for the Dolphins and ended up in Bama; or maybe they had another favorite candidate for the head coaching job; or perhaps a prep player they know or like was not offered a scholly; or their favorite player has not gotten the playing time they think he deserves; or one of a million of other things.
Bottom line, is you can read their posts and get enjoyment out of them and even engage them in conversation but I think it's a mistake to think that they are open minded enough on the issue to ever be convinced that they're wrong.

Actually, I consider all you Miles apologists to be negatigers, because you would prefer to keep LSU mediocre rather than hiring a more competent coach who can actually coach.

Alter, I think it is one guy making all these threads if you notice everyone seems to be from a guy with less than 100 post.

This season will be very interesting to watch, It will give us a much better picture of Miles coaching ability, or lack of. I'm gonna reserve judgement, sit back and watch.
