I was reading the WWL today and saw this interesting article. Check it out it mentions LSU twice.

Once against Ole Miss 2003 and again against Tennessee in 2001

'05 Capital One bowl from the '04 season might be on there also.

Shockingly sad way to end the Saban era.

'07 Pitt and WVU will be on that list. Thank you Dave Wandstedt. The least you could've done for sucking with the Dolphins, giving way to Nick Saban.
Funny how things come full circle /tounge in cheek.

One of my favorite weekends ever.

Got to see Mauck lead the team to a monster upset, then the next day got to see the Saints beat the Falcons with the help of some rookie named Deuce.

I like the title of the Clemson/Boston College game (#48).

Trying to think of the most painful LSU loss in recent times. Arky 02? Auburn 06? UF 06?

Auburn 06. No question. Hands down. Only thing that comes close is Bama 09. But Auburn 06 takes the cake.

If we win that game, we go to the SEC Championship and, with the way we were playing at that time, we would've made Tebow/Leak cry like little babies.

Then Ohio State would've been as easy as they eventually were in the 07 champ game.

Never forget!

I know it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things in the end, but '07 Arkansas ripped my heart out at the time. I had never been more depressed as a sports fan or since. I just knew they would be in the Dome playing for the championship so losing that game and thinking it was all over after all the magic during the year was extremely disappointing. I was depressed the whole week and Hillis' 4th down catch against McCray in OT kept going through my head even in my sleep.

'06 Auburn if you wanna say over time though. LSU was the most talented team in the country that year.

2009 Ole Miss was pretty frustrating, but doesn't approach the heartbreak of '07 AreKansas IMO. That game fricked me up in the head.

I would add the '05 Tenn game to the list at #1.

Losing that game was extremely disappointing, but campus was downright scary afterward I remember one drunk dude literally screaming bloody murder at the top of his lungs. He wasn't even saying anything, it was just "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" it sounded like he was getting murdered. I saw some people that looked like they wanted to kill themselves and/or Arky fans. It was weird.

I was able to watch the game at work, then raced home just in time to see Hillis' 4th down catch. I skipped dinner that night.

You were at the game? I bet it was like a funeral inside the stadium and walking back to your car.

Yeah 2007 was my freshman year (this upcoming year is my senior year). I've had student tickets to every game so far since I've been at LSU.

And yeah I guess you could describe it like a funeral... it wasn't like Bama 08, which was just so utterly frustrating.... Arky 07 was more like extreme depression. I just remember being like "Wow."

I've lived on campus my whole time so I don't have to drive to the games but yeah it wasn't fun either way. I'm so glad I didn't have to sit in a car and drive home anywhere after that game. It was pretty darn miserable.
