It isn't harsh, it's absolutely freaking retarded. Damn college kids and their early driving around in the morning!

This thread cements the Giants as my 2nd favorite organization and in spite of my love for the Godfather, Vito Andolini is not one of my favorite posters.

if so, that's his push off leg. it's where a pitchers gets his power. gonna be tough (but not impossible) to come back to what he was.
he can still hit and play the field

Chad should take that signing bonus money and finish college. That is what college is for; to learn and earn a living when football is no longer available. I wish I had had a free education without student loans. Tuition at my school now costs 700 dollars per credit HOUR. Twenty five years ago as a freshman, tuition was 125 dollars per credit hour. Chad should look into using his brain instead of his muscles. Good luck to him.

don't really blame them. The NFL is a business, not a charity. CJ brought this on himself when he got in a one car wreck in the early morning hours while driving around in NOLA. It may seem harsh, but he has no one to blame but himself.
Driving a car is a bad thing?

This kinda thing makes you wonder what if he had stayed at LSU for his senior year.Would things have turned out different? Well good luck to CJ, the fans at LSU wish him well.
He might have $825,000 less right now.

nobody can. thankfully he got 825k.. hope he uses it wisely. he can set himself up off that. maybe he had insurance on himself too.. would be nice.
Hopefully he and his family were forward thinking in acquiring insurance on Chad.

Hopefully he has some very wise counsel to suggest appropriate ways to invest his signing bonus and any possible money the Giants may pass his way to maximize long term gains. This, sadly, is a perfect example of why schools should be slapped for passing on good athletes if they are not meeting academic benchmarks. Not saying this was the case with Chad, but it is sadly a case with too many star athletes in high school and college and it sets these kids up for massive disappointment if the athletic career doesn't pan out for some reason.

Simple business decision. He has to have at least one more round of surgeries in about 6 weeks.

Chad will be back. No one has said that he cannot play football anymore. I can't argue with the move. Perhaps they can put him on the practice roster.

id say theres a 95% chance he wont be able to pitch either...his future as a pro athlete is over, hopefully he has a plan

you have no fricking clue what happens and you're blaming him? for all you know he lost control cause he swerved to avoid hitting some punk arse kid in the road
frick off man.
If that was true, we would have heard about it by now. More than likely Chad Jones fell asleep behind the wheel.

that accident is a mystery, but come on that's just another stupid accusation. why not keep it to the facts?

Am I sorry that Chad was in an automobile accident, of course. I don't want to see that happen to any tiger. However, all the stories I heard was of his laziness, that he relied on his god given talent alone for success, which in the college game would suffice, but not for pro ball.
I feel that if chad was a bit more responsible, this accident would of never happened in the first place.
Anywho, get well soon Chad .

what does this have to do w/him not being able to play from a car accident. he didn't get a chance to show anyone one way or another.

another stupid accusation. we have no clue of the details or cause of the accident to say it was irresponsible. i'll say many people his age would have been drunk at that time of morning and that has been ruled out. he may have simply fell asleep like any one of us can do.

Wouldn't some team just pick him up off waivers, stash him on IR, and see if a free third round pick pans out or not?
