You lock the doors two hours before closing and then ignore people when they try to open the doors. And to top that? They ignore every person in the drivethru line as well so they just give up and turn around.

I'll be sure to place numerous calls into their corporate office (something i have never considered doing before)

i feel better now

and yes, cool story bro

I love me some Popeye's but c'mon, you know shite like that's gonna happen at least every fourth visit. Yet we still go back...

Damn you Popeye's, and your delicious spicy chicken.

Has been like this for years. I lived in Magnolia Trace years ago and we all still recount some bizarre arse encounters with the staff there. Example: We once had the drive through lady refuse to upsize an order for us.

Dude in my car: I'd like that with a large mashed potatoes, please.
Popeyes broad: You get SMALL.
Dude: I know, I want to upsize it and pay more.
Popeyes broad (furious): NO, SMALL.
Us: uhhhh okay.

the popeyes in Port Vincent and Walker do not suffer from this phenomenon...there might be reason why.

On the flipside there was this one time when the angry black woman manning the drive through handed us a huge order and stormed off having forgotten to make us pay, and we just drove right the frick off

I still go by there sometimes

It's Popeye's, not Commander's Palace.

Popeye's corporate probably wouldn't find it okay.

But I'm not stupid enough to think that fast food places operate on the level that a five star restaurant would. That's like starting a thread about being shocked that "the shake machine is broken."

The "shake machine is down" is a lot different than actually closing the entire place 2 hours early though.

That's pretty absurd.

I've seen countless places close early.

I've also seen plenty of places close for a half hour to an hour with no sign nor explanation. I've had it happen no less than three or four times at Burger King, and at the Circle K at North Gates.

Life will go on if I have to buy a two piece from KFC or Church's instead.

So only 5-star restaurants adhere to their posted hours??

Considering the revenue they generate, the salary the managers make, the involvement by the owner, and the amount of money waiters earn?

Pretty much.

I've gotten used to places where people make minimum wage or just above it closing down for a while with no explanation. I don't give anyone a pass for doing it, but I don't start a thread about it, either.

You should've called 911.

That was my chance!

And I love how we are supposed to just accept the fact that a business chooses to close 2 hours early because the workers don't feel like working. Maybe I should apologize for bothering them.
