Interesting list of the worst teams in the BCS. I couldnt imagine going to a school with a teams as bad as some of these. Kind of depressing, really.

Three SEC teams? Surely there's some other team rounding out the bottom of Division 1 that's more deserving.

I agree! Where's Syracuse? Notre Dame hasn't been lighting it on fire recently. I'd be willing to bet Miss St. would give Notre Dame a run for their money.

Ah. I see what you're saying.

ACC-Virginia?
Big East-Temple?

Wazzu has been in the BCS before. They just made a disastrous hire.

I'd go, in terms of teams that will NEVER EVER EVER make it to the BCS (off the top of my head):

1. Baylor (Never in the Big 12 South)
2. Vandy (Never in the SEC East)
3. Iowa State (Win the North and the Big 12 Championship?)
4. Mississippi State (Vandy of the West)
5. Indiana (doesn't care enough about football)
6. Duke (Cutcliffe could get lucky one day)
7. Minnesota
8. UConn
9. Michigan State
10. South Florida

Think I'd put Syracuse in there before these 3. Hasn't UCONN done well the past 2 season and been bowl eligible. Didn't they beat Notre Dame at home this past year?

Syracuse has been there before, as recently as the Donovan McNabb era.

Didn't mention anything about previous BCS play. Syracuse is flat out horrible. When a former Duke PG is your starting QB when he hasn't played organized football in 4+ years, you have a problem.

Mississippi State and Kentucky would have a much better reputation if they were in another conference besides the SEC. If you go by winning percentages during the AP era, they aren't even in the bottom 10.

BCS schools with worst winning percentages in AP era

1. Vanderbilt
2. Northwestern
3. Kansas State
4. Indiana
5. Iowa State
6. Wake Forest
7. Oregon State
8. Washington State
9. Kansas
10. Illinois

One hasn't done anything since the BCS era began.

The other two are happy to reach the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

I'm don't give a shite that they're 7-5 every year. That's the best they're gonna do.

Shitty ACC teams have a better chance of getting into the BCS than Michigan State does. I didn't say they were better. Ask Wake Forest and Maryland.

I figured the frame of reference was during the BCS era, hence BCS schools.
