something going on with pitchers at LSU besides lack of a pitching coach..or a direct result of.. Matulis & JoeyB BOTH out with tommy john surgery required..

I hope Zach Lee's arm isn't jacked up before he can be the savior of LSU football and baseball.

It happens. This had nothing to do with something that occurred at LSU.

I have had Tommy John surgery...It really works!

Very few baseball players reach this level of baseball without serious over use and unnatural conditions having been placed on their arm action for a period in excess of 10 years. Very few make the transition to college without having some ache and pains with their arms and shoulders. Many require surgery to repair the abuse. The only way that many of these pitchers can avoid surgery is to stop throwing the baseball. If you are going to pitch at this level you have to throw the ball to keep sharp. This is not an LSU problem but the nature of the game and more particularly in pitching.

Were you a pitcher? How long before you could pitch again?
