I think these guys are giving UNC way too much credit. They have a great defense for sure but the Tigers aren't that bad. And I think since this game is in SEC country it's advantage LSU. I have faith in Les winning this one.

I can't agree. You know what these guys have to go on when they are thinking up these articles? They are mostly thinking of last year.
Our offense was ranked #112 in the country. Let that sink in. And don't say it was because who we played. We played some pretty crappy teams and still looked horrible.

WE, (meaning most logical LSU fans) think that our O-line will be better and this should help alot, but those not from this area don't really use that blind faith kind of logic that we do.

I am just happy that they still think enough of our program to highlight it as such a big game.

has absolutely no bearing on this game. they will prob have more fans than us at that game. NC is just a stone's throw away from us here in ATL.

go look up where their offense ranked and get back to me after you let it sink in.

And don't say it was because of who they played.

They are coached by one of the best head coaches in college football.

Or maybe WE'RE not giving them enough credit...wouldn't be surprised by a close game...still think we pull it out though.

We’d be shocked if LSU could get 250 yards of total offense against this team.
I'll take the over on this one

Actually, it isn't that weird that the UNC v. LSU game is on that list as it is only the top 10 non-conference games of 2010. Considering their best game is Miami at Ohio State and I can't really disagree with them...the slate really sucks.

Butch Davis inherited a UM program that was put on probation and lost scholarships. His last year he was 11-1, should have played in the Nat Championship game instead of FSU whom UM beat in the regular season and wound up ranked #2 in the country at the end. His players included Johnathan Vilma, Ray Lewis, Antrelle Rolle, Jeremy Shockey, Frank Gore, Edgerrin James, Kellen Winslow Jr., Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, and Clinton Portis. UM was the best team in the country the next two years with Coker coaching Davis' players. I don't think he is overrated. UNC is a dangerous football team for LSU. Due to more strict entrance requirments for athletes and a diluted recruiting pool, UNC may not have a lot of depth. However, they are far better than the University of Washington, LA Tech, and Mississippi State.

Are you talking about the North Carolina state line? The UNC campus is about 6 1/2 hours from the Georgia Dome, the LSU campus about 7 1/2. The westernmost tip of North Carolina that borders on Georgia is hardly a UNC stronghold. Georgia/Georgia Tech/Clemson/Tenn all have bigger followings; I know the area pretty well. Plus, LSU fans are known to travel as well as anyone in the country; UNC, not at all.

You are correct, he recruited a juggernaut at UM. However, what has he done at all at UNC to prove he's a "great coach". 20-18 overall, sub .500 in the ACC. And spare me the entrance requirements and talent pool bullshite. A great coach is a Urban Meyer or Brian Kelly, guys that took smaller schools or schools not known for football, and made them better and took them to unprecedented success.

Davis is a guy who's living off his recruiting rep from a decade ago, much like Spurrier is living off his accolades from the Florida days. Neither one are worth a damn now.

Words cannot describe from where he started 3 1/2 years ago. Just glad we can be competitive again.
