Would Apple stock be a good buy right now?

I see where the company is doing well with their IPhones. The shares are around 250 dollars per share. What do you guys think?

It was down $12 today with no logical reason why it should have been.
That's when you buy. When solid stocks get caught up in a bad day market wide when they are solid.
Median targets were already $345 even before the iPhone 4.
They QER coming in July is gonna be a monster.

Making money hand over fist eventually overcomes a bad market.

You still think that way even though many have panned the new Iphone?

apple is definitely a good buy right now, they just keep annihilating earnings predictions and i don't see that stopping.

I'll just go ahead and stay out of it this time and reference the other 4 page thread where we hashed this out prior.

Apple could cure cancer tomorrow and you would bash it.
You are just one of those dudes that has a weird obsession with hating Apple.

Yeah.
You are aware of the culture of people that hate Apple in a strange, obsessive manner, right?
I've seen nothing to suggest you are anything other than one of those people.

I stand by my comments.
I really don't care.
Like I said in the other thread, I'm an Apple guy because I own Apple products and believe they are superior to alternatives.
That is reasonable.
I don't attack other stuff, I just like what I like and leave it at that.
I don't feel compelled to attack PCs or other competitors of Apple. That would be retarded.
You are Johnny on the spot to go after Apple or anyone that likes Apple and that is a you problem, not a me problem.

Apple is a money making machine that could get caught up in a global economic downturn and a shift out of equities.
If you think the economy is better than what the bond and stock market are telling us then it is a buy.
If you think the stock market and economy is going to get worse before it gets better then it is not a buy as the stock will likely get caught up in the downdraft and get cheaper.
Apple could also suffer from increased competition and potential product quality that is not top notch.
It would be prudent to wait until the market direction is clearer (if the SP 1040 holds). The same goes for someone interested in taking a short position of this stock.
That said, if the itch to own it is strong then scratch the itch but put a tight stop/limit on it.

Does Scoop work for Apple?

Sold it right before the iphone 4 hit the stores about a week ago FWIW. Besides the beating it took yesterday I think the high earnings from the iphone 4 and ipad were already priced in once the pre-order numbers came out. Then again there are still people waiting outside apple stores every morning to buy one so I could be wrong.

It would be a good buy if it were about to go up.

FWIW scoop I just think kFiz was saying this was talked about in another thread at least I seem to remember one. and I think it is a good buy right now personally but don't have the kind of cash that would make sense to buy a 250+ dollar stock, It would take a while to get a return on the 10 shares I would buy . But definitely never take my advise bc I seem to either buy high and sell low or buy low sell lower. FML
