The Next Generation of Potential US Stars

Obviously some of these guys won't pan out, but others will.
Here are a few I have heard of. Never seen any of these guy play substantial minutes before.
Luis Gil-16 year old starting out with Real Salt Lake. Was part of the 2009 U-17 squad. Central Midfield.
Danny Mwanga-18-year old who started his rookie season with the Philadelphia Union. Has scored 4 times in 8 games. Was the top pick in the MLS Draft last year. Forward.
Jack McInerney- 17-year old teammate of Mwanga's. Scored two goals on the U-17 squad in 2009.
Joseph Gyua-17-year old midfielder who played for Vancouver Whitecaps and moved to Germany last year to play for the youth side of Hoffenheim. Son of Philip Gyua, a Ghanan-American who played for the USMNT and in indoor soccer leagues.
Sebastian Lletget-17-year old attacking mid for West Ham's youth team. One of their scouts says he is more impressive than Joe Cole at the same age.
Mix Diskerud-19-year old midfielder for Staebek, a top team in Norway. He already starts for their A-team and has capped with our youth level teams. He already turned down Norway to play for our youth teams.

Thanks for posting this.
I've seen Fafà Picault play twice in Cagliari. I used to live there, visit occasionally and am kind of a fan of the RossoBlu. He looked pretty good: had a couple of really nice runs, one with a great set up for a goal. He was the fastest player on the pitch. Came in as a late sub in the other match but believe he starts now.

4 of those Guys you listed are Midfielders. Thank god.
Also Mwanga I think will start along side Jozy next WC, if of course he decides to play for the country that took him in snd got him out of that hell hole he was leaving in. Gave him an education and his current job. Sorr Charlie, this guy will play up top if he chooses to play for USA.

If Brek Shea doesn't get Kenny Cooper disease, I think he could have an impact this cycle.
This list also ignores a bunch of 23-24-25 year olds that could have an impact, as well.

Played against both these guys growing up. Samir is a complete tool and thinks hes cristiano ronaldo yet is a goalie..retarded.
Bill on the other hand is a beast. Definitely can see him being the next Zach Thornton. So I can see him being a good keeper..but I don't know about a great one internationally.

I think we're also still waiting on the Sacha Kljestan who gives a shite for 90 minutes instead of the "pretend to be Clint Dempsey at center mid but I have half the talent of Deuce" Sacha Kljestan. Hopefully this move to Anderlecht and subsequent Champions League experience will help him develop.
Also I think Alejandro Bedoya will be a great player in 2 years time.

I haven't seen enough of Bedoya at the club or international level to provide any reasonable opinion on him.
I'm afraid he's got a case of "Sal Zizzoitis" from internet ruh-tards, though.
They've seen one good run, and one good step over during a couple of one off friendlies and assume that he's the next savior of American soccer.
I really do like what I've seen from Danny Cruz with the Dynamo this season, but I don't know how well his game and skills will translate to the full international game. MLS is littered with midfielders that are decent, but not international quality. Hell, the Dynamo are littered with midfielders like that.

Bedoya is far from a step-over and lose the ball type player like Zizzo or Adu. He plays a good possession game and really added something upon his inclusion in the Netherlands friendly.

I'm pretty sure Omar Gonzalez is going to be a fixture. He's a giant, and has been starting for the Galaxy for a while.
I've heard really good things about Michael Hoyos, but we have to compete with Argentina for him.
I'm really surprised at how many players we have in overseas academies. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though. They could all turn out to be Johann Smith for all we know.

that's the development we want in US youth soccer, and this is the first generation that is really having the exodus
it is interesting to think about how it will turn out in 3-5 years
