survey says no, woodson won the heisman
most dominant in history is a tall order for anyone

If teams throw the ball to PP's side, he could get enough PBUs and INTs to win the Heisman i think.

Would love to see this.

If he quits looking in the backfield he will be even better.

IF - big word in this case. Will never happen.

If you are a bad arse CB and know that whoever you guard isn't going to get the ball thrown at him, wouldn't you play off a little bit more as bait?

I could see him being a Champ Bailey-like player if he was given some opportunities on the offensive side of the ball.

Woodson won the Heisman with kick returns.
I think Neon Deon was the best college corner I ever saw. True shutdown corner. 14 picks.
Patrick Peterson would do well just to shoot for best cornerback in LSU history. Any time we talk about his interception total I'm including the one in last year's Bama game. Kinda like the almost perfect game for the Detroit pitcher.

He'll have to return Kicks and Punts for TD's also a few Int returned to house would help his chances.
He's great, but he's not staying his senior year.

he's already tops for windmill lead punt return blocker...

Didn't Pat return kicks or punts in the spring game, he could be a great return man b/c of his athleticism. And sorry about the histroy,

Champ Bailey and Woodson are the best I've seen in my generation. PP certainly has that ability but I doubt it. When was the last time a defensive player won the heisman? The main reason Woodson won it was because he created touchdown on PRs and defense. So, that was like being a offensive player. They're biased in their voting, you have to contribute somewhere else other than defense.
PP is on kickoffs but I highly doubt he gets the opportunities. They're going to pick on Claiborne since hes unproven, so he better be ready. So, unless PP is a return beast, I doubt he has a chance. Even with 10 INTs.

Not in one more season, no matter how well he plays. And that is the likely scenario IMO.

what does returning kicks and punts have to do with being the best CB in NCAA history.
A true shut down corner is the one who plays every game and doesnt have many stats due to shutting down his man week in and week out

Because he mentioned heisman, reading comprehension ftw?
Hes not going to win any heisman, even if he has a mind blowing defensive season. You have to contribute elsewhere to get the heisman. Woodson won it because he was dominant on defense and still contributed TDs on ST. He also had several clutch moments scoring TDs...

This. I don't know if he becomes that good. He would have to start intercepting balls thrown to the opposite side of the field to be the "most dominant CB in NCAA history".
