I read this guy was the captain of the boat that was driving the rover that knocked over the "top hat" on the BOP this morning. Was this a terrorist attack and he was killed to cover it up or did he feel guilty? Either way its not good!

I live in Orange Beach and The Captain was a local Orange Beach Captain that ran his charter operation (The Rookie) from Zeke's Landing. The story I'm hearing is he was upset that his multiple BP claims had not been paid, had not been paid for working on the VOO Program and wanted to make a statement. It sucks but I really don't feel sorry for anyone who commits suicide as it is the most selfish thing a person can do to his family. His family is in my prayers. I will know more over the next few days.

I do hope it makes a big splash in the national media though so at least he gets his wish to make a point.

If you are being serious,the term(Germans)refers to the fact that the story in the post might be old news. This Germans thing is relative to tigerdroppings only. It started from a line in the movie Animal House,(was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl harbor?)

Its not a rational act. Its not done by someone whose brain is functioning properly. Thats like blaming someone who has Downs Syndrome for not being smart.
I know the family and they are blaming themselves for not seeing it coming. The whole situation is awful.

So he was sad about the oil spill cause it would take away his livelihood, so he killed himself, voiding his insurance policy and screwing his family. What a fricking pussy.

Suicide policies on insurance are usually only in effect for the first year.
So, If he had a policy for a long term...it would pay out.
