LINK They feel like they have just joined the old Southwest Conference. Talk about screwed. I think OU is ready to follow A&M to the SEC. Slive just might get OU and Texas A&M with Texas begging to follow.

From a Sooner poster:
quote:

We made this easier for Beebe by all declaring that we'd follow Texas off a bridge. Basically, he has to target one school, and tailor his offer to that school. In the new Big 12 we would be nothing but peons to Texas and they would pull in the most money by far. Look at what Beebe threw in the package - the ability to build your own TV network. Texas has said for awhile they want to do that, and they actually have the following and resources to do it. It's pretty obvious that Beebe is singing his overtures to Texas, and Texas only. This is ridiculous.

If the Horns want to just dominate a watered down Big 12, then I say we pack up with the Aggies and go to the SEC.

Damn I would hate that. That would almost be a worst case scenario IMO.

I can believe this... One of the other boards I go to has a diehard Sooners fan on it and he's been praying for the Big 12 to break up ever since he heard of the plan for them to end up in the Pac Ten.

To say he's unhappy at the prospect of a gelded Big 12 sticking around would be an understatement.

I'd love that. They'd just start saying the SEC championship game was for the MNC every year. It practically is anyway.

I'd love OU & A&M in the SEC....Doesn't LSU have a home & home scheduled anyway with OU for 2012??

I'm sure if the realignment happens, schools will tear up the schedules and start from scratch.

Why would you want to make the hardest conference in the country even harder? Hell, forget A&M, let's just add OU and USC. Kick out vandy and MSU and pick up Texas and Ohio State too. That'll really make us the kings of cfb.

Texas is pimping the Big 12 schools. Nebraska and CU got sick of it. Mizzou is getting sick of it. That's why the other 2 jumped ship while they had the chance. Mizzou was ready to leave but didn't get the invite to the Big Ten.lol.

WD Dawg, I agree with you. However, it's all about money, we need to move on major media markets given the chance. It's ruining what we love and changing for the worse.

Unless it gets us to a real playoff.
