Zilla--I'm really not sure about the pesticide use. I'll try to remember to ask next time I go.

Oh they're no tree huggers I guarantee that. I imagine Treflan works into their garden. But what the hell, they taste good. I've got a pot simmering right now to toss my corn in shortly.

Take an ear of that corn with husks on. Take off just the outer husks. Put it in the microwave on about 2:45 minutes. Grab it with a potholder. Pull most of the silks right out of the top of it. Husk it and the rest will come off just fine. Should be perfect. The fresher the corn, the less time in the wave. The larger the kernels, the longer in the wave, but 3 minutes is tops. I haven't boiled or steamed corn in a gazillion years.

And, if you just need to clean the corn for any reason, do the same thing, but put it in for a minute. The silks will come right off.
