If I had to guess it probably couldn't even stay open in New York City
But then again there is an Olive Garden in Time's Square so who knows

I can't disagree with your logic. You just sound like your ex. Who I know. Mosca's is a pretty damn good place. My treat to you both if that is cool.
Hahahaha- we didn't get married for no reason!
If you can get us both in town at the same time, you're on! But I also assume it is like most 'italian' places down there and they have seafood/cajun type dishes (ala Ruffino's in BR)

Everything is served family style. It is a unique place with a lot of character.

It wouldn't have to compete with NYC Italian restaurants. It's a different kind of cuisine. And it's pretty damned good.

You should atleast try Mosca's. It is a great dining experience. It doesn't hurt that I know the family well, but it is pretty damn good.
My father in law was a judge and knew the family pretty well. When he was with a group of us we'd bypass the bar and get a table almost as soon as we walked in. I was sort of embarrassed by the looks we got but never complained.

Bunch of tax cheats.
If Carlos Marcello was still around you would be sleeping with the fishes. Capeesh?
The spaghetti and meatballs are old timey and great sauce that can hang with anyone anywhere. The chicken is very good as well.
Not a fan of the oysters mosca or the shrimp mosca. I like the old chianti they serve too.
