...but you people realize that if/when they join, it's going to be the most miserable experience driving to College Station (dry country, correct me if I'm wrong), or having their cult-like fans drive to Baton Rouge.

It'd get old pretty quick.

Wrong. Went to the A&M - Texas game in College Station in 2009 and bought liquor right outside the campus.

LOL, Brazos county is not dry. We have liquor stores flanked on both sides of campus... We are building a student bar in the Memorial Student Center, and Northgate Bar District is right across the street from campus and the stadium... 30 bars a block away from classes.

LSU backing out that last year without a chance to go out on a winning note against A&M killed me.

Brazos county isn't dry.

And I really don't want these dogs faces in our conference. I can't tell you how annoying their fan base is.

I grew up with A&M being one of the first games every year. It just doesnt seem right not to play them anymore. You knew it was football season when the aggies came to BR. I am very excited about the possibility.

During this whole process I've discovered that I hate UT fans more than A&M fans. But man, both are insufferable. shite and shite sandwich here in TX.

The only good thing that will come out of this is we'd be playing closer to Houston every other year.

Unless they moved the game to Reliant. Which I have mixed feelings about, on the one hand, buying 8 dollar beers at the game is sort of exciting, but then again Reliant would be shitty for a college football game as far as atmosphere.

I wouldn't mind LSU and A&M bringing back that rivalry - it has a lot of potential. An occasional neutral site game at Reliant (which they'd never do) would be awesome. Tickets for games in College Station would be hard to come by given all of the LSU fans here.

But yeah, dealing with Aggie fans would get old fast.

College Station is not dry. It really isn't that bad. It is better than places like Vandy and MSU. Maybe they'll also up their tailgating with the ability to actually have night games. The bar scene is honestly superior to LSU b/c they are right off campus and all together. They're even open on Sundays. I enjoyed my time there in grad school. It was a pretty fun college town.

LSU and Texas A&M fans are a great mix...A&M throws down in a structure way (still good times) and LSU throws down without know what the f*** structure is...Funny a ss mix of people..
