Good article on ESPN:

ESPN

Predicts Big 12 South to Pac 10

Predicts ND will join Big 10

Predicts SEC gets W.Virgina, FSU, GT, and V Tech.

No more Big 12 or Big East.

So what would happen to the 4 Big 12 Schools? And the Big East would be confusing as hell since they have basketball only schools.

Other 4 big 12 schools go to Mountain West making it the 5 conf player....

SEC
ACC
Big 10
Pac 10
Mountain West

I'm not sure I like SEC's additions in this scenario....

W.Virgina-Bring good football and basketball to the conference
FSU-National audience, good Football, basketball and baseball
GT-Atlanta, Academics, Good football, baseball, built in heated rivalry with UGA now a SEC game
V Tech-DC area market, Good football, decent basketball that could be better out of the ACC.

there is no OU in there, but it is a good lineup

ahhhhh okay, that makes sense. I'm flying around the message board and reading all of the articles I can but it's impossible to keep up to speed. I was hoping that the OP had created a good enough synopsis of the article.

I would prefer Miami over WV, and Clemson over VA Tech

ugh.....the Pac 10 would get ALL of the positive media spin for the foreseeable future.

We need to stop that by getting OU or A&M or both.

Anything less than Fl. St. AND Miami, would be a disappointment...

GTech has also shown the ability to be a national basketball power.

West Virginia has much in common, sociodemographic-wise, with SEC schools.

Viginia Tech is the school that scares me the most. What is that program without Frank Beamer in the future?

We need A&M if we do anything. Going into virginia would be good too. GT does nothing for us.

Don't see this happening if Nebraska and Mizzou joins. Big 10 promised ND if they joined, they'd stop expansion at 12.

I'd rather Miami and OU.

I like the in state school stuff. Instead of West Virginia, who is a very good catch, I'd like Virginia and Virginia Tech, then add Georgia Tech to match Georgia and Florida State to match Florida. That would line up with the likes of Mississippi - Mississippi State, Auburn - Alabama, Vandy - Tennessee.

Clemson is fine, but the TV market is already captured with Georgia and Georgia Tech. And I think a Virginia - Virginia Tech would give us a TV market closer to the D.C. Philly NY market.

One thing for sure, this is fun to watch. Money talks...alot.
