Last year we stayed at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Omaha ... plenty of hotels around ... some stayed in Iowa but don't remember the name of the town (it's basically across the river). Some hotels will be booked as there is some kind of kids baseball tourney that same time frame.

I'd think that you could get tickets there ... we bought before hand as we wanted guaranteed, no waiting in GA lines as we were driving 16 hours with 3 kids. That is up to you but we did see them for sale (we were there for the 3 game championship series).

Good luck. (Oh, if you go to the college world series website there is a ticket exchange where you can buy them also.)

don't worry about tickets trust me...i've been the past 2 years and you can go buy a tickets to any game at the local grocery store...if it's a HUGE game you may need to get in the GA line up to an hour in advance to ensure you get in the stadium though (GA has more tickets than actual seats available)...but since LSU isn't there, i doubt you will have to worry about not getting in

I have tickets and a hotel reservation I will not be using. Tickets are for sale and room I'm sure can be transferred.

My husband is looking for an alternate hotel. Is your reservation for a queen, king or doubles.

He currently has a queen, but really needs doubles.

It's the last time in that stadium, though.

GA outfield seat tickets are easy to come by. They sell them in 10 packs just about everywhere.

If you want to get a good seat you have to get in line a couple of hours before the game.

Ive always bought premium location tickets from locals who own the tickets but arent interested in the games.
Last championship there, I had 1st row tickets behind LSU dugout.
Good luck.

council bluffs, i think is what you are talking about. it's like a 10 or 15 minute drive from the stadium. it's a pretty nice little town too...lots of people stay there.

are reserved tickets usually available around the stadium on gameday or is a ticket broker the best route for reserved tickets

You'll always find people selling tickets (not GA outfield).

They may not always be face value, but I never encountered anyone looking to screw somebody. You can usually tell when it's a local or out of towner selling a ticket as opposed to a "professional".

Had I not gone in 2003, I would be going to see Rosenblatt before it's gone.
