do it yourself in front of your friends and give them an education and relaxation in your own home.

Yep, love Gugs, and their poboys, but small canned baby shrimp, and the inconsistent nature of the gumbo from day-to-day..there is much much better and more consistent gumbo in BR.

Don's probably does the best or one of the best seafood around. Check out Ouncy's at Uncle O's and he's right on top as well.

"my house" is exactly what I am saying, if he doesn't know how to make a good gumbo his arse should move to "New York City" tout suite.

The best Gumbos in BR ain't in no resturant.

Have to disagree with you Kajun. It's always gumbo weather, to me. I eat it all year round. Just turn down the AC and you're good to go.

Dempsey's does bring the goods on chicken and sausage gumbo.
And Martini, you are right, Ouncy makes a solid gumbo, and I like his bisque too.

LA Lagniappe is my favorite gumbo spot too. It's actually my favorite seafood restuarant in BR period

Dempseys and the cabin are my favorite gumbos around town. Parrains is great overall place to take him.
