some of the worst. The phone call Dandy Don got last night shows the worst. Unbelievable but then I am reminded of some of the crap written on this board.

When UC-Irvin took a 9-8 lead going into the bottom of the ninth inning, I received a phone call from a person who I had only spoken to one time in about four years who told me that Coach Paul Mainieri was a clown and that he would never watched or listen to any LSU baseball game as long as Coach Mainieri was the coach. I also received three or four emails saying that Mainieri was worse than Les Miles.
"fans" like that should stick to football

Those are the fans that usually call sports radio talk shows too!!! That's why I don't listen to them!!!

Gaudet shouldn't be bunting, but the fans are worse.

What a damn joke- CPM bleeds purple and gold....
Posted on 6/5/10 at 8:00 am to TexasTiger89
Why would someone Don talks to once in 4 years call him up whining about CPM?

Can't have it both ways people. If you want a passionate fan base, then you have to take the good with the bad. When passion runs as deep as it does for LSU, then there will always be a thin line between love and hate. We could just not care. Would that be better?

I read it. But we already knew that they visited his sight because the rantards on this board let us know every time the old man misspelled a word or name.

There is a difference between caring and being irrational. Stupid arse fans that make comments like the one's above are an embarrassment. Sadly, they are the majority of ranters.

It's not like PM rebuilt smoke laval's cluster F&$) and within 2 years won the sec tournament, closed out the old box with a story book ending, and brought us to Omaha. Then in 3 years won the SEC, won the sec tounament, and won a national championship. Now he's won the sec tournament for the 3rd year in a row.
What the hell else could this coach do?????
Every coach is going to make a mistake but Paul finds ways to win. It may not be pretty at times but a win is a win.
Gaudet probably should not have binges but then again he made the right call with putting dishon out there and watkins.

I didn't listen to or watch the game (I live in Atlanta). So do the math.

This does not surprise me at all. I believe the truer statement is that we have some of the least educated (from a sports perspective) fans in the U.S.
It amazes me that PM can continue to be criticized and LM continue to be defended. That does not provide a good argument for having an intelligent fan base.

I agree 100%. However, LSU fans enjoying being viewed as the most passionate fanbase in college athletics. Passion is an emotion that can manifest itself in irrational behavior - good and bad. You simply can't have the "good" without also having the "bad". Just doesn't work that way.

Well-paid coaches should never make mistakes. NEVER. It's not acceptable. We should have relief coaches waiting to take over the minute Les, or Trent, or Paul pulls a boner mid-game. It's inconceivable that LSU coaches are not infallible.

Well it sucks that the "bad" are sometimes more outspoken than the "good", especially here on the rant.

Its a double edge sword. Success brings more people to the cause, even the ones you despise.
