Buyer's remorse.
Problem is the Raiders didn't have a coach that could coach him up to his potential, like his college coach did.
Plus his college coach didn't pay him a bajillion dollars.

Do they have any valid claim to this?
Guaranteed money is guaranteed. He didn't fail a drug test, he sucked.

What bullshite.
Was there something in his contract that said he must make first team All Pro to receive his guaranteed money?
What kind of precedent would this set if an NFL team could get a "refund"?
Next will a team file a grievance if an overall number one merely makes the Pro Bowl and is not first team All Pro?
Caveat Emptor.
This just shows how dysfunctional the Raiders' organization is.

I imagine the players union will fight this to the death because it would mean guaranteed money is BS.

Let's see if all the people that crushed Andre Johnson for not "honoring" his contract get up in arms for this move

Exactly. I think the same thing when a player does his job very well then wants to tear up his contract and renegotiate. Wrong, plain and simple.
