Refreshing IMO. A leader who wishes to take action.

This man makes sense. The problem matters to him.

Just like with the illegals in AZ. It matters to their governor, and she, like him, wants someone to step up.

Who will?

Saw him on CNN. Did good.

But, like others, have a hard time trusting him. The only guy I knew in Plaquemines Parish that told me I could trust in Nungesser, I didn't trust.

I think the guy is good hearted and has the right intentions, but I want to see actions. I'm pretty tired of this bluster in all political forums and it sure is getting old quick in this one.

IMO Nungesser is trying to make himself into the Rudy Giuliani of Louisiana.

How may lawsuits would be filed against this guy if he just went out and did whatever the hell he wants to do?

Well, the question is how big a tab these guys run up. There's a ton of money to be made. Of course they want to get to work.

Then why say it? It does no one any good to just off on these rants if he doesn't put some actions behind the words.

These state officials know that BP has several local coastal restoration experts who would bring years of study to the court room. I'm pretty sure there is a LSU professor would has already cast doubt on the project.

If these state officials think BP is just going to open their checkbook without some fighting back, they are foolish.

One Parish President screws up in any way, BP will slam him with lawsuits.

A quick google search has 2 Louisiana experts with doubts already in place. This would be a very large gamble for any state official.

I think he is great but he would sound a lot more credible if he said DISPERSANTS instead of Dispersments!

The lack of federal response is appauling. I mean this took place over federal waters. My hats off to the parish president.

What more should have been done by now? Is what you propose consistent with federal law?

It's over federal waters so the Feds can do what they want. There is no synergy at all between BP and the Feds. Not defending BP at all bc there has been alot of distoration on their part. Be proactive by setting up levees around the islands along with many other things. What's obama's response? A freaking commission. Do that later after we clean the spill.
