I just wanted to give everyone an update on LSU's Matt Mauck. He is a member of the Denver LSU Alumni and was at our annual crawfish boil today (and I might add, he's enjoying the mudbugs like a real pro!). Anyway, I asked him when he was going to finish his dental program, and he said he would begin his practice in 2011. I asked him where he would be practicing, and he said he'd be here in Denver. He and his wife, Jill and their son Tyson, and their new baby daughter will be living here for the foreseeable future. I just wanted to let you and all Tiger fans about a forever Tiger who will always be remembered for bringing us our first NCAA football championship in 45 years who is as good a person and as down to earth as any true Tiger will ever be known for. Also, I need a good dentist who I can trust my teeth to, so I'll be the first in line to see him!!

GEAUX Matt!!

He played minor league ball somewhere up there; it was a farm league for the Cubs, I believe.

He sat at our table--was kind enough to take pics with the wife and kids. Great guy!

He played in the minors a year and a half in Arizona and another year and a half in Michigan. Sorry that didn't work out for him, but it ended up OK for us!

Next time the kids need fillings, we'll be looking him up!

frick Matt Mauck.

If he hadn't gone pro early we might've had another NC.

I got to chat with him a couple of times. I'm an oncology nurse. He was working as an EKG tech during the summer of 2003. Asked him how the foot was. He said he would be ready.

I saw him again when he and his fiancee came to visit a terminally ill cancer patient right before the game against Oklahoma. I shook his hand and told him he had done a great job.

Super nice and super humble guy.He will always be one of my favorite Tigers.

And by the way, his fiancee was gorgeous. Glad to hear he has two kids with her now.

I'm just kidding. But for real, Mauck left us in a lurch. We definitely would have beaten Auburn in 04 with him as QB. Who knows about Georgia.
