Cleveland has waited longer than any other city with three major sports franchises to win a title.

Seattle has not won a major sports championship in any sport other than basketball and hockey.

The Seattle Metropolitans won the Stanley Cup in 1917 (the first American team to do so), the Seattle SuperSonics (NBA) won a title in 1979, and the Seattle Storm (WNBA) won in 2003. The city's MLS team, Seattle Sounders FC, lost in the MLS playoffs in its inaugural season of 2009, but won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in the same season. Neither the Seahawks nor the Mariners have ever won a championship (the Mariners have never even been in the World Series)

San Diego's two professional sports teams, the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Chargers, have never won a World Series or Super Bowl

I'll say San Diego. The Chargers are pretty good, and the Padres have been to the World Series a couple of times.

The Cleveland Indians last won the World Series in 1948 (the second-longest drought in MLB, after the Cubs)

If/When Lebron leaves Cleveland, move them to the back of the bus with the quickness.
San Diego is in the best spot (I guess).
Regarding buffalo, didn't the Sabres win the Cup a few years back? Or did they lose in those finals? I know you only reference the 3 majors, but frick that at least has to count for something.

Oakland. The Sharks have a good shot at winning the cup this year and I think it's only a matter of time before Billy Beane finally breaks through and wins one.

Really don't know if you can count San Jose as Oakland, although I'm sure a lot of Sharks fans are in Oakland since its the only game close by. Oakland is two metro areas away from San Jose.

To the people in these losing cities it counts. frick, Clevelanders may start trying to claim Lumberjack titles (their minor league hockey team) just to make it through the day without committing suicide.

Detroit would be that bad had the Pistons not won it several years ago.

San Jose is more San Fran than it is Oakland imo fwiw.
