Hornet should trade the pick along with David West.....Rookies do not win championships in the NBA. Hornets would be better off getting a proven veteran

Ekpe Udoh? May very well be gone by the time we pick.

Based on how Thornton/Collison turned out, I wouldn't be shocked if we took a player who has played a few years in college, like Patrick Patterson. Plus I think Patterson could come in and play right away.

So every team looking to win a championship should trade their draft picks for veterans?

FAIL.

They're not close to a championship caliber team. Whoever they got back for West and a 1st wouldn't get them much closer. It would be better to build a consistent contender through the draft/free agency/smart trades.

Whatever position we go after we need someone that can score on there own. We did a good jo of that last draft and we need to keep it going Orton is shite and will be a bust if taken in the lottery. I don't get why GM's think that guys who don't scored in college are all of the sudden going to do it in the NBA(#2 pick in the 2009 draf)

Never said that. Depends on how many players a team is away from competing for a championship. Not that I think the Hornets only have one missing piece, but if they do not try to win now then CP3 will be gone

Cole aldrich, greg Monroe, or pat Patterson. I would be happy with any of those 3.

i wouldn't want aldrich either, but it doesn't seem like they'll be much to choose from when the hornets pick

The David West part is just because I do not like him at all.

I don't like it either. I don't understand the fascination with Orton either. GMs are projecting him to go as high as 8th!!!

P.S. I am a die hard Kentucky basketball fan.
